This is going to be my most ambitious musical/video project ever.
At this point, it is 100% in my head, but I fully intend to make this project happen.
The concept is where I play a single song (albeit a bit of a long one), but the big draw will be… wait for it… that this video will feature…
NINE ACCORDIONS (now 10)!
This project pretty much presented itself to me in my head last week when I wanted to get a few more pics and maybe some video of my old Scandalli that is now the property of my aunt. I asked to take if for a while and just play it a bit so that it could stretch it’s legs a bit, but then I thought… why not make a video that includes all my playable accordions? This was an opportunity that I would RARELY ever have again!
The accordions I want to use in it are:
- Titan (baby Titano)
- Hohner FB-36
- Mundiger Etude
- Scandalli
- Iorio S3
- Elkavox
- Hohner Imperator
- Hohner Morino VI N
- We have a new addition to the mix… my new Hohner Gola 459!
The backing tracks (if any will be used) are going to come courtesy of my Roland FR-8x, but this accordion will not appear in the video. I will use it to add some backing tracks (hence the “.5” designation). This is near every accordion in my collection that I played growing up from child to adult, and I am looking forward to it!
At this point I have the song selected (shhhh, its a secret for the time being), and have kind of mapped out what parts go to what accordions, but that is the easy part… creating 8 videos with a minimum of at least 16 backing tracks (I am thinking more tracks are going to be needed, but that’s the minimum planned), is where the real challenges are going to come.
Addendum January 29, 2023:
I am moving to higher quality video files and in THIS post you will see why I am delaying the creation of this video. That is OK, I need the extra practice time!! 😀
Now, this is looking like it is going to turn in to a longer term project, there is a lot to do and my time is quite limited and there are so many projects that I would want to do as well. Of course work (what else is new?), is always in the way… lol
