I was curious… I did a similar useless experiment on the value of my Corvette and had some fun with it. This time I play that game with my Hohner Gola. When I received my certificate, it was listed as a value of 16,450 DM (Deutches Marks). I found some website that converted 1979 DM and converted them to 2024 Euro:
Now, if I take 23,340 Euros and convert that to CAD, what does that come out to?
Interesting, not taking in to consideration inflation, just dollar values that is pretty good, but looking at other high end accordions today are much higher, so I bet a Gola is more than what is shown… rounded up, I suppose the insured value of my Gola is higher than an easy $35,000… pretty amazing.
As mentioned a useless, but fun game. 🙂
