New Transmitters

January 10, 2026

At last week’s zoom meeting, I was in the middle of trying to play and was getting cutouts.  Turned out that my wireless Getaria transmitters were failing.  A fast check showed me that the battery on the transmitter was starting to die and unable to keep up.  A fast attachment of an external USB battery and I was back  up and running, but it showed me that I may need to replace them.

After the session was over, I searched high and low for the replacement Getaria GWS-28 transeivers, and they were nowhere to be found.  I found a hint on Amazon about a possibly similar model under a different name, but again, no availability.

Off I ran to that popular Asian website and found that they not only had them under a different name, but at a pretty good price, so I ordered 2 sets.

The name of the new units is LEKATO WS-60 and here are a couple pictures:

These units are not exact matches to the Getaria.  I liked that the Getaria units have 6 channels and I could manually choose which of the 6 channels I wanted to use so that they would pair.

The LEKATO are slightly lighter, come with 1/4″ mono and stereo connectors and they are not the same USB micro-B connectors but use the more modern USB-C connectors!

Each set comes with mono and stereo adapters and a USB-A to dual USB-C charging cable, so both units can be charged at the same time.

You simply turn on the receiver(s), click and hold the pairing button, watch for the light to flash, then turnon the transmitter and press the pairing button and hold until all area a steady green.  A nice feature is that I can send from one transmitters to multiple receivers, a cool option when I want to perhaps record on (for example), to a camera and to an external recording device at the same time all wirelessly!

Finally the last test and one that was the most important for me, the test if they transmit from a single unit… in STEREO, and… they do!

Final small fun point, from day of ordering to arrival on my doorstep, it took *6* days to arrive here from Hong Kong!

Looking forward to using them and recording lots of music with them!
