So… today is my birthday, and though it’s a day like any other, it’s not.<\/p>\n

Today I turned 65 and though \u00a0I am the same person I was yesterday, I feel as if I’ve crossed an invisible boundary, a move from the middle of life and moving towards it’s final part of the journey.<\/p>\n

“Final”, that’s a scary word, \u00a0an event coming to its eventual ending. \u00a0Completely stupid, yet it makes me a bit sad on a day that I am supposed to be celebrating.<\/p>\n

When I think about it, I’ve become a member of a group in society that is somehow a thing that classifies \u00a0you as “less”… a member of the geriatric club, I am officially a senior citizen.<\/p>\n

Suddenly, I’m old.<\/p>\n

Most of my life I’ve had a mindset of naturally feeling like I was in my 20’s and even yesterday it was like that in my head, so what snapped between the time my head hit the pillow and this moment a few hours later? \u00a0I turned a year over and crossed this threshold into old age.<\/p>\n

I read somewhere a thing off the internet, it had to do something about reaching a point in life where the vast majority of one’s time here is now more behind instead of in front of them. \u00a0That is exactly what I seem to be feeling today \u00a0There is less in front of me than what is behind, a kind of sense of being incomplete.<\/p>\n

I actually stopped this post and went to visit my BJJ dojo, not so much to practice as to touch base, get a dose of reality. \u00a0That place is life’s water to me at times.<\/p>\n

You see, the solution to this feeling is fairly easy. \u00a0Just live. \u00a0Live in peace, passion and give back. \u00a0Give to your family, friends, give back to your community.<\/p>\n

I still have much to give, I should’t have time to even have these feelings. \u00a0Forgive me, I am ending the post here… and going to work on giving a little.<\/p>\n
