I met Sam at the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school where I train. We’ve “rolled” together many a time and always had fun while learning our sport. Sam has always been the consummate gentleman both off and on the mat, and that is at least in part why Nancy loves this man.
Sam and Nancy are a bit of a quiet couple who’s love runs deep and strong. This couple follows their own path, the one less traveled with faith in themselves that their direction is true. No date for the wedding has been set, and no photographer yet chosen (of course), but I would be very proud to be their chosen photographer if and when they decide to have a ceremony. Aucune pression, mon ami!
Of particular interest is the small pair of baby shoes that Nancy brought. These are reserved for their coming child and were also little shoes made by Sam’s mother and worn by Sam himself when he was just a little baby. As tiny as those shoes are, this little man has a big pair of shoes to live up to when it comes to his father in terms of being a good man and a wonderful husband. Nancy herself is all of Sam’s equal in all the most wonderful of ways that only a mother and life partner can be.
The photo session was awesome, though the weather did not go as planned. We were supposed to have a warm, partly cloudy day, instead what we got was a very chilly day with complete cloud cover until near the end of the session when the sun broke out as it was just sliding under the horizon. We had to move quickly to catch some of that golden sun, but in the end, we had a great time, lots of fun and caught a few wonderful moments.
